  • "My name is Justyna Karczmarczyk. I truly love teaching both adults and teenagers. Helping them gain confidence in using English gives me so much satisfaction! I think it's especially important to make my students speak as much as possible and express their own opinion. Of course, my greatest hobby is English, so after graduating from the Institute of English Studies, Warsaw University, I decided to continue my studies there. Now it's my 3rd year of a PhD programme in English linguistics and I enjoy it very much. My other hobbies are literature, celtic dances, cooking experiments and volleyball.
    See you in Pygmalion!"

    • Hi there. My name is Bogumił Śladowski. I graduated from Poznań University quite a while ago majoring in teaching English. Having spent a few years in the UK I have decided to settle in my country, where I can teach English. I prefer teaching adults at higher levels including exam groups. • Hi! My name’s Paulina Gryglewicz and it’s my first year in PYGMALION, although I’ve been teaching English for the last six years. I got my BA in English Philology from Maria Curie–Skłodowska University in Lublin and I wrote my MA on American science–fiction. I work with all age groups – children, teens and adults. Regardless of their age, the majority of my students want to improve their speaking skills so communication is always the most important skill that we work on together in classes. I always try to make them as enjoyable as possible, since I strongly believe that uncovering the beauty of a new, foreign language can be a great adventure and a lot of fun. In my free time, I catch up on my reading, spend time with my family and try to improve my cooking skills. See you in class!

    • Hi, my name is Magdalena Osuch. It was not English but Spanish that was my love at first sight. However, my favourite language to teach is definitely English. This is why having graduated from Iberian and Latin American Studies (Warsaw University), I returned to do my BA in English Teacher Training College. Afterwards, I worked in Barcelona (Spain), did CELTA and then DELTA. Since 2009, I've been teaching English at Pygmalion in Bródno. Apart from languages (Spanish, Catalan, English and …once upon a time… Portuguese) I love travelling, hiking, cycling, taking photographs and dancing salsa and mambo!
Hola, soy Magda.
Sabeu on està Catalunya?

    • My name is Stephen and I hail from England. I did my CELTA in the summer of 2007 and made the jump to Poland Shortly after. I’ve been teaching at Pygmalion in Bródno since late 2007 with the occasional stint teaching in Saska Kępa. Before teaching English I was teaching guitar and music theory, working as a bartender and working as a deputy mortgage underwriter (usually all at once;)In my free time I’m an avid cook and am quite fond of baking bread. I enjoy travelling, reading and horticulture.I really enjoy listening to jazz and the blues, however, at the moment I’m a particular follower of Aphex Twin and Venetian Snares, Autechre and pretty much anything involving circuit bending, obscure samples and sound design. I try to play guitar, saxophone and my computer through the aid of various digital audio workspaces. In my lessons my aim is to provide a fun, open and friendly learning environment. I am always looking for new ideas and interesting topics to bring into the classroom. I’m still learning Polish but in all honesty I’m a terrible student, too many declinations too little time. See you in class.
      • Hello everyone; my name is Beata Badowska. I graduated from Toruń University. I’ve been a teacher for several years now, working with kids, teenagers and adults of all levels, both general and business English.Teaching gives me great satisfaction; I believe in every student and their progress, by which I measure my success. All those little steps we take to improve your skills are my biggest reward. I like to think of myself more as a facilitator; the pleasure of seeing my students expanding their knowledge and gaining confidence in a foreign language is something I would never swap for anything else. I try to convince everyone that learning a language can be fun – and a wonderful adventure. I read a lot in my free time, both poetry and fiction. I am also interested in Eastern philosophies. I love foreign travel and music, esp. traditional ethnic music from India, Egypt and Africa (including traditional dance). When abroad, I never come back without a traditional musical instrument typical of the place I have visited. I seem to be particularly sensitive to sound and try to find ways of exploring the phenomenon; not only in music, but also in everyday communication. I am therefore fond of languages, of which English is my favourite ;-) (followed by Portuguese and Dutch, if you ask me). After all, aren’t all languages melodious like music?
